1. Who we are

Methodis AI (ABN 50 797 597 157), run by Isaac Canavan ("we", "us", "our"), runs Facebook and Instagram advertising for Australian trade businesses and books qualified quotes into their calendars.

By using this website or our services, you agree to us handling your information as this policy describes. If you don't agree, please don't use them.

2. Information we collect

From tradies who work with us or enquire about our services

• Name and business name
• Email address and phone number
• Business address and ABN
• Payment and billing details, processed by our payment provider (we don't store full card numbers)
• Messages, meeting bookings and notes of calls with us. Calls may be recorded and transcribed.

From people who answer an ad we run for a trade business

• Name, phone number and email address
• Suburb or address, and the answers you give on the form or page (for example, the job you need done)
• The time you book for a quote or call, and any SMS you send us

Collected automatically

• Device and browser information, IP address and rough location
• Pages visited and how they are used (analytics)
• Advertising data, such as which ad you clicked
• SMS delivery and communication logs

3. How we use it

• To run and measure the advertising we provide
• To pass your enquiry to the trade business you answered, and to book, confirm and remind you about your quote or call
• To send service messages by SMS or email. Reply STOP to any SMS and we stop texting you.
• To bill our clients and keep business records
• To answer your questions and give support
• To improve our ads and this website
• To send marketing messages, only with your consent. You can opt out at any time.
• To meet our legal obligations

4. Who we share it with

• The trade business you enquired with. If you answer an ad we run for a business, your details and answers go to that business so they can contact you and quote.
• Service providers who help us run the service, such as website and database hosting, SMS delivery, calendar and booking tools, email and payment processing.
• Advertising platforms. Meta (Facebook and Instagram) receives limited information, hashed where possible, so ads can be measured and shown to the right people.
• Anyone the law requires, or where we need to protect our rights.

We do not sell your personal information. Some of our providers store or process data outside Australia, including in the United States.

5. Keeping it secure

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information, including encryption in transit, access controls and secure hosting. No method of sending data over the internet is completely secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security.

6. How long we keep it

We keep personal information for as long as we need it to provide our services, keep billing and tax records and meet our legal obligations. After that we delete it or remove anything that identifies you.

7. Your rights

Under the Australian Privacy Act you can:

• Ask for access to the personal information we hold about you
• Ask us to correct it
• Ask us to delete it
• Opt out of marketing, and reply STOP to any SMS
• Complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) if you're not happy with how we handled your complaint

This website uses cookies and similar technologies, including Google Analytics, to understand how it is used. You can control cookies in your browser settings. Landing pages we run for our clients carry their own privacy notice, which lists the tools they use.
